Nordic Black Metal that darkens the space: Where Silence Grows Vol. 1 in Fürth
On Friday, June 12, 2026, Kopf und Kragen in Fürth will transform into a dense resonance space for uncompromising Black Metal. At Where Silence Grows Vol. 1, raw energy meets atmospheric depth - with De Som Skjelver as the defining act of the evening and Solae providing additional reinforcement from the extreme metal scene. The evening starts at 8:00 PM, doors open at 7:30 PM.
Gloomy precision instead of mere volume
De Som Skjelver was founded in 2013 by Nils Fjandannsson to carry the spirit of Norwegian 90s black metal into the present. The band refers in its own presentation to the epic sound of Emperor and the coldness of Darkthrone - and it is this tension of melody, frost, and intensity that shapes their profile. After demos from 2013 to 2017 and a pandemic-related break, the debut album was completed in 2024/25. With Serrator on drums and live members Kukudh Agata on guitar and Vælertiis on keyboards, a complete formation is ready, focusing on dense orchestration and cutting riffing in their live performances. The Bandcamp material also documents the album's release in November 2025 with the pieces Despise Them, Så kaldt i Nord, and Outsider.
A club that brings extreme sounds close
Kopf und Kragen is part of youth culture management con-action and has been anchored in the youth cultural house OTTO in Fürth since October 2013. The location is designated as a compact club with a capacity of about 120 people, seating 60 people. This proximity is precisely what makes it appealing: The guitars cut through more directly, the drums hit more immediately, and every dynamic nuance feels larger in the small space. This creates a particularly intense live atmosphere for a black metal concert, where the audience does not just consume but becomes part of the audience's mood.
Atmosphere, sound, and scene feeling
The evening promises not a broad pop spectacle, but a concentrated concert experience for listeners who appreciate sonic power, dark imagery, and precise conducting. De Som Skjelver works with long, intense songs that are both raw and atmospheric. This fits ideally with a space that emphasizes direct stage performance and close proximity. Solae also brings an emotional density with modern post-black metal and elements from extreme metal that enriches the evening dramaturgically.
What visitors can expect in Fürth
Those who come to Fürth on June 12, 2026, will experience a club evening with uncompromising hardness, dark atmosphere, and a clear scene attitude. Where Silence Grows Vol. 1 is aimed at all who understand black metal not as nostalgia but as a living present. This is the right evening for tight spaces, cold sound, and great intensity - live, immediate, and direct.
