Ludwig Erhard Zentrum is located in central Fuerth. This museum is about a man: Ludwig Erhard born in Fuerth, who was German Chancellor. The goal of the museum aims at transmitting the life and the work of Erhard and the voluntary sector of the market to a wide public and at uniting the political, historic and economic education. The museum consists on one hand of the native renovated house Erhard and on the other hand of the new building on the other side of the street next to the city hall. The museum has plenty of interesting documents or archives and it's very didactic.

Fascinating character. The museum is in two parts, (on either side of the road), and both are top quality exhibitions. The place is clean, staff were friendly and helpful. The exhibits all have full English interpretations. Technology is used very well throughout and was very factual. Obviously being a museum based mainly on one person, it could easily become either hero-worship or demonization, but it does very well to give the impression of a factual and constructive understanding of an important economist and politician that faced similar hurdles that politics encounter today. I was disappointed that I didn't see Ludwig's book 'Wohlstand für alle' in the museum shop. It would be a great seller in both German and English. I know because I wanted to read it after visiting, thankful I could download a free ebook version easily off the interwebs after a quick search. Edit: 12 months later than my initial review. I’ve returned to see that they now stock Erhard’s book ‘Wohlstand für Alle’ in its English translation as ‘Prosperity through competition’. A great read and a fantastic compliment to the museum experience.
