Herr & Kaiser | Menu & Terrace

Herr & Kaiser is much more than just an ordinary gastronomic establishment on a well-known street in Fürth's Südstadt. The address Kaiserstraße 89 stands for a mix of daytime café, restaurant, and bar that consciously emphasizes closeness, everyday practicality, and a homely character. The building is located on the ground floor of a residential building from 1960, constructed by the Fürth Building Association; previously, the Südstadt tavern was located there. After a longer vacancy period, the location was reopened on September 25, 2015, and has since established itself as a meeting point for the neighborhood, lunch, coffee, evening drinks, and small events. This very mix is what makes the place appealing: not high-gloss staged, but down-to-earth, friendly, and with a clear local rooting. Anyone looking for a location in Fürth that combines food, drinks, terrace, and community life will find here an authentic example of modern pub culture with regional ties and a very distinct Südstadt profile. ([fuerthwiki.de](https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Herr_%26_Kaiser))

Menu, Burgers, and Weekly Specials at Herr & Kaiser

The culinary direction of Herr & Kaiser is consciously versatile, but not arbitrary. Officially, the establishment lists popular classics on its website such as burgers, tarte flambée, salads, currywurst, and potato wedges; additionally, there is Franconian roast pork on Sundays. This is complemented by a regularly changing weekly menu that features seasonal and regional as well as international dishes. This structure is attractive to many guests because it combines reliability and variety: those who drop by spontaneously will find fixed favorites, and those who return often will discover new dishes on the weekly menu. Vegetarian and vegan options are also mentioned on the official pages and in the tourism profile, making the location accessible to various target groups. Thus, Herr & Kaiser fulfills several roles at once: lunch spot, dinner place, uncomplicated meeting point, and a place for a quick snack or a longer sit-down. The mix of everyday cuisine and pub character fits the Südstadt and ensures that guests return not just for a single signature dish, but for the entire offering. ([herr-und-kaiser.de](https://www.herr-und-kaiser.de/?utm_source=openai))

The beverage side is also clearly focused on quality and regional appeal. The establishment lists on its website, among other things, a freshly tapped Spalter Kellerbier from the tap, a Franconian house wine, other wines, long drinks, spirits, and non-alcoholic alternatives. FürthWiki adds that draft beers from the Stadtbrauerei Spalt as well as the light country beer from the Rittmayer brewery in Hallerndorf are served and that the wine focus is primarily Franconian. Notably, the espresso from the classic Faema E61 espresso machine underscores the café aspect of the establishment. This creates a profile that works not only in the evening but also during the day: coffee, cake, newspaper, small lunch, later beer or long drink. The drink menu is therefore not a byproduct but a central element of the Herr & Kaiser brand. In total, a picture emerges of a location that combines traditional pub moments with café and bar elements without losing its groundedness. ([herr-und-kaiser.de](https://www.herr-und-kaiser.de/?utm_source=openai))

For search intentions around menu, lunch, and evening dining, it is also important that Herr & Kaiser is not just a fixed evening bar but functions as a reliable point of contact during the day. The tourism profile explicitly describes the location as a place for lunch and dinner, coffee and cake, as well as for a drink in the evening. This means that the gastronomy is not reduced to a single use but is read as a flexible neighborhood meeting place. The official website also mentions reading materials from regional and national newspapers to magazines like Die Zeit or Katapult, which further strengthens its character as a daytime café and living room of the neighborhood. So anyone looking for an address that should fit search engine terms like menu, burger, tarte flambée, weekly specials, or coffee and cake will find exactly this mix of uncomplicated cuisine and urban stay. This makes the location equally interesting for families, colleagues, friend groups, and solo guests. ([herr-und-kaiser.de](https://www.herr-und-kaiser.de/?utm_source=openai))

Opening Hours, Parking, and Directions in Fürth's Südstadt

The location of Herr & Kaiser is particularly convenient for guests because it is centrally located in the Südstadt and remains easily accessible. The official address is Kaiserstraße 89, 90763 Fürth. The website indicates that the tavern is directly opposite the old sports hall of the Hardenberg Gymnasium at the intersection of Dr.-Beeg-, Zeppelin-, and Kaiserstraße. This is important for everyday life because it allows one to quickly place the location and find it even during a spontaneous visit without a long search. Opening hours are clearly communicated: Tuesday to Thursday from 11 AM to 11 PM, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 1 AM, and Sunday from 12 PM to 11 PM; Monday is closed. The warm kitchen operates continuously from Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 AM to 9 PM and on Sundays from 12 PM to 8 PM. This makes Herr & Kaiser suitable for both early lunches and late evenings. Especially for location-based searches, these times are a strong signal because they create immediate planning certainty. ([herr-und-kaiser.de](https://www.herr-und-kaiser.de/?utm_source=openai))

The approach is also pleasantly uncomplicated. According to the official website, there are free public parking spaces directly in front of the tavern along the streets. Those who prefer to come by public transport can reach the bus stop Stresemannplatz in just about 200 meters; it is served by city bus lines 173, 174, 177, and 179. Additionally, the Nightliner N18 also runs there on the nights from Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday, and before holidays. From the subway station Jakobinenstraße, it is about a 10-minute walk, and from Fürth main station about 15 minutes. This combination of street parking, bus, night bus, subway, and walking makes the location attractive for different target groups: lunch break, dinner, bar visit, or meeting with a larger group. For someone specifically looking for parking or directions, these are exactly the facts that make the visit planable. ([herr-und-kaiser.de](https://www.herr-und-kaiser.de/?utm_source=openai))

In practical everyday life, this also means that Herr & Kaiser works well for both local regulars and visitors from the wider Fürth and Nuremberg area. Those who are in the city can relatively spontaneously head to the establishment without relying on a complicated parking system or long walking distances. Those who consciously come for dinner or a drink can rely on the late opening hours on Friday and Saturday. The clear separation between the dining area and the kitchen also helps in planning a visit because the warm kitchen times are relevant for longer stays or the classic meal before visiting the bar. Especially in search queries around opening hours, parking, and directions, this combination of clarity and local accessibility counts. Herr & Kaiser thus fulfills one of the most important expectations of a well-functioning neighborhood address: easy to find, easy to reach, and with a time window that covers both lunch and dinner. ([herr-und-kaiser.de](https://www.herr-und-kaiser.de/?utm_source=openai))

Terrace, Coffee, and Bar Flair with Southern View

A central unique feature of Herr & Kaiser is the large, green terrace with a southern view. FürthWiki explicitly highlights it, and the tourism page also mentions the terrace as a plus, especially when the sun transforms the place into a relaxed outdoor location. This is particularly valuable for an address in the Südstadt because outdoor seating often makes the difference in everyday life: a coffee in the afternoon, a beer after work, or a relaxed meal on warm days. The terrace is not just a functional extra but shapes the character of the establishment. It extends the dining area outdoors and emphasizes the idea of a living room for the neighborhood where one can also linger outside. Combined with the green design, it creates an impression of openness and tranquility, even though one is in the middle of the city. This balance of urban location and pleasant outdoor atmosphere ensures that Herr & Kaiser remains relevant in search queries for terrace, beer garden feel, or cozy outdoor space. ([fuerthwiki.de](https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Herr_%26_Kaiser))

Inside, the location opts for a relaxed mix of café, pub, and bar. Earlier reports describe wooden chairs at two-person tables, a wall as an oversized display case for greenery, and a place where one can simply sit, read, and drink during the day as well as in the evening. The official website adds that in addition to coffee and cake, there is also a selection of hot drinks, long drinks, and spirits. Together with the newspaper selection from Fürther Nachrichten to Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Zeit to Katapult, the impression of a place that is not just for quick meals but also intended for longer stays emerges. This is relevant for guests who are looking for not just a table but an atmosphere. Herr & Kaiser is therefore less an anonymous gastronomic space and more a social space that consciously brings together the functions of café, bar, and neighborhood meeting place. ([curt.de](https://www.curt.de/inhalt/artikel/8816/74/?utm_source=openai))

This atmosphere makes the location interesting for different times of the day. In the morning and at noon, one can drink coffee, read, or eat here; in the afternoon, cake fits on the terrace; in the evening, the place turns into a bar with beer, wine, and long drinks. The tourism profile explicitly names Herr & Kaiser as a point of contact for lunch and dinner, coffee and cake, as well as for a drink in the evening. From an SEO perspective, this is strong because it covers multiple search intents: café, bar, restaurant, terrace, and meeting point. For guests, this primarily means that they do not have to switch between very different types of establishments. The location unites all of this under one name and remains pleasantly unpretentious. Those looking for a homely atmosphere with a southern view, a clear drink menu, and a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere will find exactly the mix that many associate with a successful neighborhood place in Fürth. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/gastro/herr-kaiser-100014500/?utm_source=openai))

Reservation, Side Room, and Events

Herr & Kaiser is suitable not only for spontaneous visits but also for reservations and smaller events. The house's terms and conditions clearly show that reservations and table inquiries for a number of 10 people or more only become binding with written confirmation. This is important for groups because it creates planning security and reduces misunderstandings. At the same time, the establishment has differentiated deadlines: for fewer than 10 places, a free cancellation is possible up to 48 hours before the appointment, for larger groups up to 14 days in advance. These rules show that Herr & Kaiser handles the event area professionally without setting the threshold for smaller celebrations too high. For search queries around reservation, booking a table, or celebration in the restaurant, this is very helpful information as it reveals the practical framework conditions. Those planning a birthday, a meeting with friends, or a club dinner thus receive a clear picture of how binding an inquiry becomes and what lead times are sensible. ([herr-und-kaiser.de](https://herr-und-kaiser.de/agb/AGB_HuK_2021.pdf))

Particularly interesting is the separable side room. FürthWiki describes it as a room that is used for smaller private celebrations as well as for meetings of initiatives, clubs, parties, and homeowners' associations. The terms and conditions add that a room rental of 120 euros may be provided for meetings in the side room. This makes the location not only gastronomically versatile but also socially and organizationally flexible. So anyone looking not just to eat but for a meeting with a framework will find here a room that resembles a well-utilized neighborhood room rather than an anonymous event space. This fits very well with the self-image as the living room of the Südstadt. At the same time, the structure allows smaller groups not to be pushed into the normal dining area but to give them a separate framework. This makes the place usable for private and semi-public occasions alike. ([fuerthwiki.de](https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Herr_%26_Kaiser))

For practical purposes, it is also relevant that the terms and conditions provide for a maximum stay of 1.5 hours for early table reservations unless otherwise agreed. This is less a restriction than a planning tool that sensibly organizes the operation in a lively neighborhood restaurant. Those coming with a larger group should also be punctual: according to the terms and conditions, a reservation may be considered canceled in case of significant delay or no-show. Even if this sounds strict for the guest, it is a sign of clear processes and reliability in gastronomy. Those looking for a location for a celebration, group appointment, or dinner benefit in the long term from exactly this transparency. Herr & Kaiser thus presents itself as a place where reservation is not only possible but structured. Especially with search terms like side room, events, or reservation, this is a real added value. ([herr-und-kaiser.de](https://herr-und-kaiser.de/agb/AGB_HuK_2021.pdf))

History of the House and Its Role in the Südstadt

The history of Herr & Kaiser does not begin with the opening in 2015 but much earlier. The building at Kaiserstraße 89 was completed by the Fürth Building Association in 1960 and housed the Südstadt tavern on the ground floor for a long time. When the long-time tenants retired due to age, the property stood empty for several years. Only then was the reactivation as a new gastronomic concept planned together with the operators of Sieben Schwaben, Sarah Stutzmann and Bernd Hausner. The reopening on September 25, 2015, thus marked not only a change of operators but the revival of a neighborhood place. For a neighborhood location, this is important: it arises from a specific urban context, not from an arbitrary franchise model. This also explains why Herr & Kaiser is so strongly rooted in the Südstadt and is perceived by many more as a neighborhood place than as a mere nightlife address. ([fuerthwiki.de](https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Kaiserstra%C3%9Fe_89))

The naming is also consciously local and charmingly playful. According to FürthWiki, Herr & Kaiser is derived from the two nearby east-west routes Kaiserstraße and Herrnstraße. The subtitle 2 Zimmer • Küche • Bar refers to the typical real estate advertisement 2 rooms, kitchen, bathroom and simultaneously refers to the property owner, the Fürth Building Association. This concept is more than just a linguistic gag: it translates architecture, address, and usage type into an easily memorable brand. At the same time, it shows that the house takes the urban space not abstractly but very concretely. This background is also valuable for SEO because seekers can quickly find a comprehensible explanation when searching for name, address, or meaning of the term. The design of the dining area was created by Fürth artist Peter Stutzmann, and the logo and corporate design come from Armin Stingl and Felix Geismann. This connects the history of the house with local creativity and a clear visual identity. ([fuerthwiki.de](https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Herr_%26_Kaiser))

The fact that Herr & Kaiser today functions not only as a restaurant but also as a meeting point is evident in its role in local club and event life. The city of Fürth lists regular meetings of the ADFC there, and local notices of cyclist and monthly meetings also confirm that the place is used as a well-suited space for recurring gatherings. This fits exactly with the idea of the living room of the Südstadt: a place where food, drink, conversation, and community intertwine. The house is thus not an interchangeable gastronomic point but a piece of lived neighborhood culture. Anyone looking for a location that connects history, gastronomy, and community will find in Herr & Kaiser a very convincing example of how an old site can be filled with new life. This time just hopped in for some beer and desserts and realized they have a cozy corner with oh-so-comfy sofas and coffee tables, daily cake, pro service, and lovely background music. I want to return again, like now, right away. Loved it!

Nice and cozy. Unfortunately lately the quality of food has become unacceptable. Wouldn't recommend to eat anything but french fries or similar where you cannot do anything wrong in preparation.
