Fürth-Ronhof | Stadium & Parking
Fürth-Ronhof is one of those places where district, football tradition, and practical orientation are closely intertwined. In the official context of the city and the club, Ronhof is shown as the district where the Sportpark Ronhof | Thomas Sommer is located; the stadium address is Laubenweg 60, 90765 Fürth. For many visitors, the name Ronhof is therefore not just a geographical term, but a synonym for the home of SpVgg Greuther Fürth and for a location where one experiences football history, clear access routes, and modern event usage at the same time. The official tourism presentation emphasizes that Ronhof combines the atmosphere of a traditional stadium with a very contemporary use as an event venue. This mixture makes the place so sought after: those searching for maps, routes, parking, capacity, or stadium plans want to find not just a destination, but to understand a location. It also fits that Ronhof in the Cloverleaf City has a special symbolic power and has been anchored in the city as the home of the club for over 100 years. The stadium is thus equally a sports venue, event location, and local identification point. Directions, Route, and Maps to Fürth-Ronhof
Those approaching the Sportpark Ronhof | Thomas Sommer via the classic route are most flexible when using public transport. The VGN describes the journey from Fürth main station with bus lines 173, 174, and 177 to the stop Fürth Friedhof; from there, it is only about three minutes on foot to the stadium. For home games, the club explicitly recommends public transport due to limited parking options around Ronhof. This is an important practical note for stadium visitors: arriving on time saves traffic jams, searching for parking, and detours, allowing for a much more relaxed entrance. The tourist information also points out that during events, bus 179 goes to the stop Sportpark Ronhof, which is directly at the entrance of the main stand. This is precisely why the search terms route, maps, and directions are so relevant: they reflect that while the location is well connected, the direct route is described differently depending on the occasion. ([vgn.de](https://www.vgn.de/fuer/stadion-fuerth/))
For navigation, the official address Laubenweg 60, 90765 Fürth is central. The VGN and city tour offerings show that Ronhof can be reached quickly from the city center and that orientation mainly works through the stops Friedhof or Sportpark Ronhof. This is important for everyone who is not just visiting a football match but is planning a conference, stadium tour, or another event at the location. The official location plan logic of the site is therefore simple: first clearly determine the destination, then choose the appropriate mobility route. Those navigating by car should plan for the limited parking situation from the start; those traveling by train and bus can use the direct connection from the main station and quickly complete the last section on foot. For local search intent, this is ideal, as a user searching for maps or routes usually wants exactly this combination of address, stop, and walking distance. ([fuerthwiki.de](https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Sportpark_Ronhof))
Parking at Sportpark Ronhof
The topic of parking is one of the most important search queries at Ronhof, and for good reason. For fans, the club points out that there are only a few parking options available on the RWS premises. These spots cost 6 euros, and due to the generally limited parking situation around the Sportpark Ronhof | Thomas Sommer, arriving by public transport is explicitly recommended. This information is crucial for planning before a home game, as it sets realistic expectations: those wanting to come by car should plan to arrive early, but always consider the alternative of bus and train. Especially for games with high demand, the combination of limited parking space, many visitors, and tight time frames can quickly lead to delays. For a clear user guidance, it is therefore sensible to treat parking not as a comfort issue, but as part of the journey. This creates a search result that better reflects the actual everyday life at the stadium than mere promotional language. ([sgf1903.de](https://www.sgf1903.de/das-kleeblatt/sportpark-ronhof-thomas-sommer))
For event visitors, a somewhat different picture emerges. The tourist information cites around 300 free parking spaces for the Sportpark Ronhof and describes arriving by car as generally possible, although clearly linked to the occasion. Additionally, there are seven charging stations with 14 charging points, making the location interesting for electric car drivers as well. This mix of parking options, charging infrastructure, and direct public transport connection makes the location versatile, as it accommodates both match days with many fans and business events with a predictable number of participants. Those searching for parking expect clarity in local search results, and Ronhof delivers just that: few spaces during fan operations, more room for events, and a significantly better experience quality when mobility is appropriately selected in advance. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/planen-buchen/tagen-feiern/sportpark-ronhof/))
Moreover, the location is relevant not only for pure stadium visits. Many users search for parking even though they actually want to attend a conference, a tour, or another event. This is precisely why the tourist presentation of Ronhof is helpful, as it makes clear that the premises are not only geared towards sports but also towards events involving arrival, stay, and return. This reduces uncertainties and helps in planning the visit. Those who understand Ronhof not just as a football venue but as a multifunctional location quickly realize that parking should always be considered together with access, capacity, and type of event. This is exactly why the search intent around parking is so dominant: it often determines whether a visit starts relaxed or hectic. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/planen-buchen/tagen-feiern/sportpark-ronhof/))
Capacity, Stadium Plan, and Seats
The capacity is one of the central metrics of the Sportpark Ronhof | Thomas Sommer. According to the club's website, the stadium has a total capacity of 16,626 spectators, of which 8,126 are seated and 8,500 are standing. The official attendance record is 32,000 visitors on February 3, 1952, against 1. FC Nürnberg. These figures are more than mere statistics, as they tell a lot about the identity of the place: Ronhof is a stadium with tradition, clear fan orientation, and a mix of modern use and historical depth. The combination of seated and standing areas is particularly relevant for many search queries because users want to know how the stadium is structured, what atmosphere they can expect, and whether it is more of a classic football stadium or a multifunctional event venue. Here, the answer is clear: it is both, and exactly this connection makes it appealing. ([sgf1903.de](https://www.sgf1903.de/das-kleeblatt/sportpark-ronhof-thomas-sommer))
The stadium plan is also an important part of user expectations. On the official site of SpVgg Greuther Fürth, a stadium plan is provided, and the data on Ronhof clearly show the structure: main stand, seating and standing areas, boxes, as well as the connection between match day operations and event usage. For event guests, specific room data is also provided, including VIP lounge, Cloverleaf Lounge, boxes, press conference room, team locker room, mixed zone, and foyer. This spatial diversity makes the stadium plan relevant not only for fans but also for conference guests and tenants. Those wanting to know how the place feels from the inside get a very good idea of orientation, zones, and movement areas. Thus, the search term stadium plan becomes a practical tool for planning the visit. ([sgf1903.de](https://www.sgf1903.de/das-kleeblatt/sportpark-ronhof-thomas-sommer))
For the perception of Ronhof, it is also important that the new main stand has visibly modernized the location. The tourist presentation emphasizes that Ronhof has been the home of the club for over 100 years and is also a place where football history has been made. In the event context, this historical core is connected with the modern stand, which offers flexible levels and modern technology. For visitors, this means: Ronhof is not just a number in a capacity list, but a space with a clear function, good infrastructure, and an atmosphere that shifts between stadium, conference venue, and club home. This is exactly why capacity should always be read together with the stadium plan and seating structure. This creates a realistic picture of what guests can expect on-site. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/planen-buchen/tagen-feiern/sportpark-ronhof/))
History and Special Features of Ronhof
The history of Ronhof dates back a long way. According to available sources, the venue was inaugurated in 1910 and is thus one of the oldest still-used football facilities in Germany. Since then, Ronhof has been inseparably linked with SpVgg Greuther Fürth and continues to shape the sporting identity of the city today. The tourist information describes the location as a place where football history has been made and refers to three German championship titles, international top matches, and promotions to the 1. Bundesliga in 2012 and 2021. This is particularly important for the SEO and information profile, as this historical depth distinguishes Ronhof from many other stadiums. Those searching for Fürth-Ronhof are not only looking for an address but also for a place with symbolic power, tradition, and a very long continuity. This continuity makes the location so attractive for fans, visitors, and organizers. ([fuerthwiki.de](https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Sportpark_Ronhof))
Among the defining architectural developments is the new main stand, which was opened in July 2017 and has determined the image of the stadium in its current form since 2018. According to FürthWiki, the new main stand building contains numerous VIP boxes, a spacious gastronomy area, and an exhibition about SpVgg; it can also be rented for various types of events. The tourism site also refers to the modern main stand as the basis for the flexible use of the location. Thus, the classic football stadium has become a site that does not pit tradition against the present but connects them. This architectural development is a significant highlight of Ronhof, as it shows how a traditional location can be modernized without losing its identity. For visitors, this is a strong signal: history is visible here, but not museum-like frozen. ([fuerthwiki.de](https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Sportpark_Ronhof))
In terms of sustainability and the future, Ronhof is also well positioned. FürthWiki reports that in autumn 2022, the lease was extended for another 30 years until 2080 and that a photovoltaic system with 780 modules was installed on the roof of the main stand, which is expected to cover around 60 percent of the club's own needs. Additionally, plans for a new construction of the opposite stand were announced for 2025, which will include not only spectator seats but also a medical center with rehabilitation and physiotherapy, a specialist medical center, and an innovation center for sports and health tech. This is a remarkable step in development, as Ronhof is thus envisioned not only as a stadium but also as a place for the future. For search queries regarding special features, history, and highlights, this is a strong unique selling point: Ronhof remains historical, but it is evolving. ([fuerthwiki.de](https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Sportpark_Ronhof))
Events, Conferences, and Stadium Tours
The Sportpark Ronhof | Thomas Sommer is no longer just a place for football matches. The tourism site describes it as an event venue for up to 1,200 people and mentions possible formats such as educational events, conferences, cultural events, and meetings. The space offering is versatile and flexible, as the areas can be combined and are equipped with modern technology. Among other things, stage, flip charts, headsets, air conditioning, LED screens, microphones, moderation equipment, video transfer for hybrid formats, pinboards, sound systems, Wi-Fi, and a 98-inch screen with touch functionality are mentioned. It is clear why Ronhof is also relevant for business searches, event inquiries, and meeting planning: the location combines stadium ambiance with professional infrastructure. So, those looking for an extraordinary place for an event find not just a room here, but a very unique environment with recognition value. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/planen-buchen/tagen-feiern/sportpark-ronhof/))
The location is also strong in terms of gastronomy. The Sportpark Ronhof collaborates with Keepers and Cooks, who develop individual food concepts while considering regional products, seasonal ingredients, and different event formats. Mentioned are business lunches, finger food receptions, BBQs, street food compositions, and gala dinners. At the same time, accessibility is highlighted: all rooms in the main stand are accessible by elevator. This is complemented by sustainable measures such as two defibrillators on-site, a water- and resource-saving infrastructure, TÜV-certified green electricity, and charging points for electric cars. This is particularly interesting for visitors as it shows that Ronhof operates in a contemporary manner not only atmospherically but also organizationally. The term event location is thus not just a marketing phrase but is backed by concrete equipment and services. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/planen-buchen/tagen-feiern/sportpark-ronhof/))
For those who want to experience Ronhof not just as a visitor but also see behind the scenes, there is an attractive tour offering. The tourist information offers stadium tours that lead into the new main stand, provide access to the catacombs, and also make historical moments of the club visible. The tour lasts about 60 minutes, costs 15 euros, is limited to a maximum of 25 people, and is offered by prior arrangement. This makes Ronhof a worthwhile destination for groups, football enthusiasts, and city visitors that goes beyond pure match operations. This is exactly where many of the search intents visible in the autocomplete terms lie: people want not only tickets or parking spaces but a complete picture of the place. The Sportpark Ronhof delivers this picture because it bundles tradition, modernity, event culture, and visitor guidance in one location. Those searching for parking expect clarity in local search results, and Ronhof delivers just that: few spaces during fan operations, more room for events, and a significantly better experience quality when mobility is appropriately selected in advance.
Fürth is a beautiful city, green, but there are almost no seating options in the park or playground, there are no benches. It's a real shame, and there are hardly any trash cans available; you want to throw away your waste, and in the evening, for some reason, there are no streetlights, making it hard to enjoy Fürth at night for a stroll, as almost nothing is lit.
