Open-Air Stage in Fürth City Park | Program & Events

The open-air stage in Fürth City Park is one of those outdoor venues that immediately creates a clear image: culture in the open air, plenty of greenery all around, the stage slightly lower, and the audience on stone steps with an unobstructed view of the action. This mix makes the place so special. The official tourism site describes the facility as an amphitheater located close to the City Park Café, with open stone steps and a view of the swan pond behind the stage. The city of Fürth presents the stage as a summer attraction in the city park. Those who come here are not just looking for a ticket, but a small experience in the park: an evening of music, theater, or film in an environment that is located right in the city yet feels surprisingly calm. Current Events and Upcoming Dates at the Open-Air Stage

If you are looking for the current program or upcoming events, you will find that the open-air stage in Fürth City Park is a true summer venue. The city’s event database already lists several FÜ-JAZZ concerts on this stage for 2026, including dates in May, June, and August. Among others, Canto da Lua is mentioned on May 17, K36 Bigband on May 31, The Magictones on June 7, Eazz. on June 13, Michael Flügel Quartet on June 20, and The FÜ-JA ZZ AllStars on August 9. This clearly shows: the place is not just a backdrop, but an actively used summer stage with a regular concert character. ([fuerth.de](https://www.fuerth.de/kultur-freizeit/veranstaltungen-termine/veranstaltungskalender/veranstaltungsdetails/fue-jazz-konzert-canto-da-lua-1500-17-05-2026-415166/?utm_source=openai))

Especially important for search queries regarding the summer night film festival and live program is the official note that the open-air stage will become a festival venue in the second half of August. The festival site describes the location as a growing tradition; for 2026, a participatory special with a ukulele live jam before the screening of Some Like It Hot is even announced. This means that the open-air stage is not only a concert venue but also a fixed meeting point for film nights and special summer formats. This mix of recurring concert series and specific festival evenings explains why so many users search for programs, dates, summer nights, and specific August dates. ([sommernachtfilmfestival.de](https://www.sommernachtfilmfestival.de/spielorte/freilichtbuehne-im-stadtpark-fuerth/?utm_source=openai))

For content planning, it is also relevant that the city of Fürth lists the open-air stage as a fixed event location in the overarching cultural calendar. This makes the stage a building block of the city’s summer culture and not just a temporary pop-up location. Even if individual dates change from year to year, the basic logic remains the same: as soon as the warm season begins, music, theater, and open-air experiences move into the city park. So, those who search for open-air stage in Fürth City Park upcoming events usually want to see exactly this reliable summer structure: one place, one program, many dates, and a strong connection to the park. Directions, Location, and Orientation in the City Park

The open-air stage is located in Fürth City Park at Engelhardtstraße 20 in 90762 Fürth. The tourism site assigns it to the city center district and links the arrival with Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, and Deutsche Bahn. This is a clear signal that the location is well integrated into urban mobility. Especially the note that the city park is easily reachable on foot from Fürth main station is important for visitors. Those arriving by train, bus, or on foot have the simplest and often most stress-free solution already on site. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/poi/freilichtbuehne-stadtpark-100037051/?utm_source=openai))

The location within the city park itself is also clearly described: the open-air stage is located in close proximity to the City Park Café, making it one of the most well-known and easily recognizable points in the park. This not only helps with orientation but also with planning a relaxed visit with a pre- or post-program. The official description also states that the swan pond is located behind the stage. This allows the stage in the city park to be spatially well positioned: not just anywhere on an open area, but in a developed park landscape with water, paths, and established vegetation. For the classic search intent directions open-air stage in Fürth City Park, this is central because the stage is intentionally designed to function as part of a walking and leisure area. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/poi/freilichtbuehne-stadtpark-100037051/?utm_source=openai))

Regarding parking, the official pages show an interesting priority: they mainly mention the walkability and general urban mobility information but do not mention any dedicated parking facility directly at the stage. This can be practically interpreted as suggesting that visitors should expect to park in the city center, use public transport, or walk rather than rely on a large dedicated event parking lot. The city of Fürth provides general parking information, such as for resident parking and urban parking options. For visitors, this means: those who arrive early or use the connection from the main station are usually on the safe side. Those arriving by car should keep an eye on city traffic and urban parking pages. This conclusion is a practical derivation from the official information. ([fuerth.de](https://www.fuerth.de/bauen-mobilitaet/mobilitaet/kfz-und-parken/?utm_source=openai))

Seating, Capacity, and Accessibility

The open-air stage in Fürth City Park is small, but that is precisely where its charm lies. An official city document currently states 110 seats. This is important for anyone looking for seating, capacity, or the best seat selection, as this is not a large arena but a comparatively intimate open-air stage. The limited number of seats also explains why events at this location are often sold out quickly or why a timely look at the program is worthwhile. The stage is thus not designed for mass but for closeness: closeness to the audience, closeness to nature, and closeness to the action on stage. ([stadtrat.fuerth.de](https://stadtrat.fuerth.de/vo0050.asp?__kvonr=57735&utm_source=openai))

For the question about the seating plan, the architectural form already provides an important hint. The tourism site describes open stone steps that give the audience a good view of the stage located in the lower area. Unlike in a classic indoor setting with row seating, a tiered viewing situation is created here. This is especially pleasant for open-air concerts and film nights because the sightlines are naturally arranged, and the terrain has an amphitheater-like character. Those searching for seating plan or best seats are often really looking for where on the steps they can see and hear best. Officially, it is mainly noted: the steps are designed so that the audience can see the stage well. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/poi/freilichtbuehne-stadtpark-100037051/?utm_source=openai))

Accessibility is also important. Current city notes classify the open-air stage as not accessible. This is relevant information for planning, as the location is a historically developed outdoor space and not a modern, fully leveled event hall. However, positively for the visiting experience, the city of Fürth designates a public accessible restroom nearby, specifically at Engelhardtstraße 22 in the area of the city park, open-air stage. The combination of this honest labeling and the infrastructure in the surroundings aids in realistic planning. Those with special needs should therefore prepare their visit carefully and check with the event organizers or city information if in doubt. Images, Architecture, and View of the Stage and Swan Pond

The open-air stage in Fürth City Park appears even more striking in photos than in the pure location description. Official images from the city and the tourism site show how well the stage integrates into the park landscape. The impression is not one of hard event architecture, but rather that of a nature stage embedded in greenery. This makes image searching so relevant: those searching for images of the open-air stage in Fürth City Park usually want to see how the stage is situated in the terrain, how the stone steps are arranged, and how the park shapes the overall picture. The official pages provide good visual material for this. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/poi/freilichtbuehne-stadtpark-100037051/))

Architecturally, the amphitheater shape is particularly defining. The stage is lower, the audience sits on open stone steps, and behind the stage is the swan pond. This background is more than just a nice backdrop: it enhances the feeling of a true summer location where water, greenery, and culture overlap. In the city’s descriptions, the city park is overall presented as a place with plenty of greenery close to the center. This fits very well with the character of the open-air stage, which does not stand isolated but is part of a larger park landscape. Those who go there in summer experience not only an event but also a walk through the park before and after the event. ([fuerth.de](https://www.fuerth.de/kultur-freizeit/freizeit/fuerth-im-freien/))

Another important point for the atmosphere is the environment of the city park itself. The city of Fürth refers to the rose garden, which was established in 1951 according to the plans of former city garden director Hans Schiller. This information shows that the park is not just a functional area but a historically grown and designed urban space. This also gives the stage depth: it does not just stand somewhere in the grass but in a park that has been carefully developed for decades. This explains why many visitors perceive the place as particularly friendly, green, and cultured. For image searches and social media posts, this mix is crucial: stage, steps, water, park, and summer light create a very harmonious overall motif. ([fuerth.de](https://www.fuerth.de/kultur-freizeit/freizeit/fuerth-im-freien/))

Typical Formats: Jazz, Theater, and Summer Night Film Festival

The official information clearly shows what the open-air stage in Fürth City Park is particularly suitable for: concerts, theater performances, and the summer night film festival. This triple use makes the stage so interesting for a broad audience. In summer, this creates a varied profile that ranges from musical live experiences to film nights under the open sky. The city of Fürth explicitly describes the stage as a place for various concerts and cultural events during the summer months. The tourism site adds theater performances and the film festival to this. Thus, the open-air stage becomes a place where different cultural formats come together in a single, very atmospheric environment. ([fuerth.de](https://www.fuerth.de/kultur-freizeit/freizeit/fuerth-im-freien/?utm_source=openai))

The jazz connection is particularly strong. The current event entries for the city for 2026 show a whole series of FÜ-JAZZ concerts at the open-air stage. This is more than a coincidence, as it speaks for a recurring program structure where the stage is played with light summer music, big band sound, soul, funk, and modern jazz formats. For search queries regarding live in the city park Fürth or upcoming events at the open-air stage in Fürth City Park, this is the most important content-related answer: it is often about a live program that takes place in the park and is designed for summer evening ambiance. ([fuerth.de](https://www.fuerth.de/kultur-freizeit/veranstaltungen-termine/veranstaltungskalender/veranstaltungsdetails/fue-jazz-konzert-eazz-1930-13-06-2026-415226/?utm_source=openai))

The open-air stage is also firmly planned for the summer night film festival. The festival site names the open-air stage in Fürth City Park as a traditional venue and even highlights a participatory special for 2026. This underscores the special role of the stage in the regional cultural calendar: it is not just an event location but a summer address with recognition value. So, those searching for specific August dates or expecting images of nocturnal open-air moments in the city park will find exactly the right context here. Even if individual programs change from year to year, the core remains the same: the open-air stage stands for a mix of music, film, and vibrant summer culture. ([sommernachtfilmfestival.de](https://www.sommernachtfilmfestival.de/spielorte/freilichtbuehne-im-stadtpark-fuerth/?utm_source=openai))

Tickets, Visitor Information, and Helpful Tips for Your Visit

Practical planning begins with ticket information, and here too, the official pages provide clear indications: prices vary depending on the event. For example, regarding the current FÜ-JAZZ dates, the city of Fürth shows different price levels such as standard price and support price. This means for visitors that there is no rigid flat-rate system on this stage but event-dependent conditions. Therefore, anyone interested in a specific event should always check the respective event entry. This is especially true for search queries regarding tickets, upcoming events, and last-minute program changes. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/poi/freilichtbuehne-stadtpark-100037051/?utm_source=openai))

For a comfortable visit, the surroundings are almost as important as the stage itself. Directly nearby is the City Park Café, which is described on its official page as a place in the middle of nature. This creates a harmonious flow: first stroll through the city park, then attend the event, and finally wind down the evening in the park's vicinity. This also strengthens the perception of the stage as a summer meeting point and explains why many visitors come not only for the actual program but for the entire experience. The stage thus exemplifies a location where culture and quality of stay intertwine. ([tourismus-fuerth.de](https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/poi/freilichtbuehne-stadtpark-100037051/?utm_source=openai))

Those seeking information on practical accessibility should also know that the city of Fürth lists a public restroom at Engelhardtstraße 22 near the open-air stage and recommends walking from the main station. For many guests, this is a very pleasant mix of urban accessibility and park atmosphere. The stage itself is small enough to feel intimate and large enough to host a real cultural program. This is exactly what makes it so attractive for summer events: little spatial distance, a clear structure, beautiful views, and a very coherent overall picture. Anyone who has been there quickly understands why the open-air stage in Fürth City Park has been such a sought-after place for open-air moments for years. The Fürth City Park is a highlight, especially the City Park Café with very good food and very nice service in a lovely atmosphere. The adjacent open-air stage is perfect for the outdoor cinema. A backrest would make things more comfortable.

We attended the Summer Night Film Festival in Fürth. Easy to get there by bus or subway. A short walk to the stage in the city park right next to the City Park Café. Seat cushions were provided, and since it gets a bit cool in the evening, warm clothes and blankets are a plus. Drinks and snacks can be purchased. It was a lovely evening.
