Diakonie Fürth | Counseling & Debt Counseling
The Diakonie Fürth is a regional welfare association and sees itself as social work of the Protestant Church. In the House of Diakonie at Königswarterstraße 56-60 in Fürth, it combines counseling, care, encounter, and participation for people from the city and district of Fürth. The official website describes the organization as one of the most important providers of social services in the region, also connected with a long diaconal tradition in Fürth that dates back to Wilhelm Löhe. This also shapes the appearance of the institution: Those seeking help find not only a single specialist office but a closely networked system of counseling, care, and support services that responds to different life situations. This includes everyday questions regarding authorities and applications as well as complex issues such as debts, pregnancy, family conflicts, outpatient care, meals on wheels, or participation in the neighborhood. The Diakonie does not work in isolation but with clear contacts, fixed consultation hours, and an offer that is accessible both in person on-site and digitally. Counseling and KASA as the first point of contact
When life gets out of balance, the Church General Social Work, short KASA, at Diakonie Fürth is often the first address. The page explicitly describes KASA as a point of contact for people who find themselves in a difficult situation, have a personal or family problem, experience difficulties with authorities, or need information about specific facilities and counseling centers. The goal is not to react with quick phrases but to sort, understand, and find concrete next steps together. That is why the Diakonie emphasizes that it takes time, explains contexts, develops perspectives in small and achievable steps, and refers to specialized offices if necessary. This form of basic counseling is free of charge, open to everyone, independent of age, religion, and nationality, and can also be anonymous if desired. At the same time, KASA is independent of offices and authorities, which is an important trust signal for many clients. The consultation hours are clearly regulated: There is a telephone consultation hour on Mondays from 9:00 to 10:00 AM and Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, as well as an open consultation hour without an appointment on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 11:00 AM and Fridays from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. The location is in the House of Diakonie, KASA 2nd floor, Königswarterstraße 56-60. Therefore, anyone needing support with forms, claims, applications, or dealing with authorities will receive pragmatic, low-threshold, and very concrete help here. Debt and Insolvency Counseling in Fürth
A particularly in-demand topic on the website is the debt and insolvency counseling of Diakonie Fürth. The counseling center is open to all citizens from the city and district of Fürth, regardless of age, religion, and nationality. The counseling is free of charge, the staff are subject to confidentiality, and the services range from clarifying financial, social, and personal life situations to household and budget counseling to securing existence. Additionally, there is information on judicial dunning procedures and enforcement measures, negotiations with creditors, as well as the initiation and execution of consumer insolvency proceedings. The page makes it clear that active participation is required, as debt regulation is always a joint process between clients and professional counseling. Particularly relevant is the note that the consumer insolvency procedure can lead to debt relief within three years under certain conditions since 1999. For confidential information, the Diakonie recommends, for data protection reasons, to use postal communication instead of unencrypted email after consulting with the responsible counseling service. Telephone counseling and appointment scheduling are available on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, and Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Pregnancy Counseling, Sexual Counseling, and Family Planning
The state-recognized counseling center for pregnancy issues and sexual counseling of Diakonie Fürth accompanies people in one of the most sensitive phases of life. The website emphasizes that a pregnancy brings a lot of new, unfamiliar, and change, and that especially with an unexpected pregnancy, many questions arise. Therefore, the counselors take time for personal concerns, questions, and problems during pregnancy and also after the birth of a child in individual and couple discussions. The content ranges from legal claims and financial assistance such as parental allowance, parental leave, and child benefit to applications with the state foundation for help for mothers and children, as well as preventive examinations and childbirth preparation. Prenatal diagnostics, high-risk pregnancies, childcare options such as daycare or childminders, and questions about the compatibility of child and career are also addressed. The offer is free of charge, confidential, and open to people, regardless of nationality or religion. However, the counseling center explicitly addresses families from the district of Fürth; families from the urban area should contact the parenting counseling center of the city of Fürth. This is important because seekers can thus directly find the appropriate authority. The counseling addresses developmental and educational questions, uncertainties and problems related to children and adolescents, relationship difficulties in the family, conflicts in daycare centers or schools, as well as questions regarding separation and divorce. The staff clarify and advise, offer psychological diagnostics if needed, and support parents in coping with difficult life phases with their children. There is also a complementary offer for adolescents through youth counseling, which can be reached by phone, email, Signal, or SMS. The page also highlights that counseling can also take place in English and Turkish, which is a significant advantage for many families. On-site appointments are possible from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The telephone hours for parenting counseling are Monday to Friday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Monday to Thursday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Overall, the Diakonie conveys an image of professional, everyday family support that not only describes problems but also brings parents, children, and adolescents into concrete action security. The Diakonie Station Fürth is located at Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 51 in 90766 Fürth and is part of a network of seven Diakonie stations in the city and district of Fürth. The website emphasizes that the stations work closely together, represent each other, and ensure a high level of care through joint training, administration, and quality management. Outpatient care is one of the largest providers in the region and is aimed at people regardless of religion, nationality, and worldview. The services cover basic and treatment care, support for relatives with individual training, and advice on health and care insurance questions. Additionally, household services such as cleaning the apartment, laundry, shopping, and assistance with daily tasks are provided. The page also mentions specific services such as personal care, bathing, positioning, injections, shopping, medication administration, wound care, care advice, relief for caregivers, support for seriously ill and dying people, and offers for people with dementia. The team consists of professionals with additional qualifications in gerontopsychiatry and palliative care; the Diakonie explicitly describes this as qualitative care hand in hand. For quick security in everyday life, there is the emergency call system, which can organize support 24/7, 365 days a year. Additionally, the Mobile Menu Service offers freshly cooked meals from the kitchen of the senior care home Gustav-Adolf in Zirndorf. Daily, there are two dishes to choose from, which can be delivered as a main course or as a menu; the food is delivered by 2:15 PM at the latest. The service is available for Fürth, Oberasbach, Veitsbronn, and Zirndorf. Thus, the Diakonie connects care, supply, and reliability in a way that truly makes everyday life noticeably easier. Job Offers, Volunteering, and Encounter in the House of Diakonie

In the area of employees, job and training opportunities in the care and social sector are currently published, including the generalist training for nursing professionals for the Diakonie stations in the city and district of Fürth. The job postings show that the Diakonie relies on people who are committed, bring teamwork, and want to shape the diaconal mission. At the same time, voluntary work is an important part of everyday work for the Diakonie. The website highlights that volunteers are needed in many facilities and services, such as in senior care homes, assisted living, senior meeting places, or day care centers for people with mental illnesses. Especially the encounter offers give the search term Diakonie Fürth another, very human accent. In the senior meeting place in the House of Diakonie, there is a comprehensive program with interest groups, courses, excursions, festivals, and offers for mental and physical fitness. For example, Canasta and Rummy are mentioned on Mondays, and Rummikub on Tuesdays. The leisure meeting for people with disabilities invites everyone every two weeks on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 PM to the Ecumenical Community Center Maria Magdalena and focuses on games, fun, contacts, and conversations. The program is co-determined by participants and designed by a social educator together with volunteer staff. It becomes clear: Diakonie Fürth is not only a place for acute help but also for community, participation, and long-term relationships. Those looking for job prospects, engagement, or encounters will find here a social carrier with structure, practical relevance, and a strong regional anchoring. The parenting, youth, and family counseling center of Diakonie for the district of Fürth is another focus that is clearly visible in users' search queries. The website emphasizes that the stations work closely together, represent each other, and ensure a high level of care through joint training, administration, and quality management. There's bike parking—it's great! Convenient! Parking for cars is paid, and it's full. As for Diakonie itself, I liked the politeness, responsiveness, and the consultation itself.

Very poor staff, they speak vaguely and are unclear, take away custody of a person with parental authority, and then have to ask the priest for permission. After repeated inquiries, you are told that these are our guidelines; this is how we work. It's a disgrace; just stay away from them.

What is offered here as a "care service" has nothing to do with real care. The visits take place three times a day, each lasting a maximum of two minutes – it's obviously just about checking off someone's presence, not about the person themselves. Half of the delivered food regularly ends up in the hallway and is simply left lying around – completely unacceptable both from a hygienic and humane perspective. To top it all off: The front door is slammed so loudly every time that the entire house wakes up. Zero consideration, zero sensitivity. I have rarely experienced anything so unkind and unprofessional. For a service that prides itself on Christian values, this is simply disgraceful.
