Specialists: When Fürth's Life Stories Become Stage Art
In the Nachtschwärmer foyer of the Fürth City Theater, the theater evening transforms into an immediate encounter: The discussion series Specialists invites people from Fürth who open up unique perspectives on the city with their professions, callings, and life stories. On February 26, 2027, at 8 PM, an evening full of closeness, curiosity, and surprising insights begins.
A Discussion Format with Dramaturgical Tension
The principle is simple and effective: guests take a seat on the couch, share stories from their everyday lives, and look behind the facades of familiar professional and life worlds. A funeral director, a happiness officer, or other unique characters from Fürth will not be reduced to buzzwords. The dramaturgy arises from the open conversation, personal memories, unexpected turns, and the moment when genuine interest arises from unfamiliarity.
The Nachtschwärmer Foyer as a Stage of Closeness
The production intentionally dispenses with the distance of a large theater stage. In the Nachtschwärmer foyer, a relaxed theater atmosphere develops, where voices, gestures, and pauses have an immediate impact. The stage design remains focused: a conversation situation, a counterpart, an audience that not only observes but also engages internally. The acoustics of the intimate space amplify every laugh, hesitation, and surprising twist.
Fürth Encounters Between Everyday Life and Stage Art
Specialists understands theater as a social resonance space. The format puts people in the spotlight whom visitors may encounter the next day in the city. This showcases the unique artistry of this evening: not roles are embodied, but life realities receive a public stage. Moderated by Udo Eidinger, the series combines conversation culture, observation, and a keen sensitivity to the stories behind the obvious.
An Evening with Open Questions
The discussion series enters its third season and emphasizes encounters without rigid taboos. Central questions include motivation, career choice, passion, responsibility, and the small absurdities of everyday life. Drinks and snacks accompany the evening, highlighting the casual character of a gathering that resembles an insightful kitchen table discussion more than a formal panel debate.
Conclusion: Theater as a Living Encounter
Those who want to experience Fürth from new perspectives will find Specialists an approachable stage experience filled with wit, warmth, and intellectual depth. The audience does not expect a finished production, but an evening that unfolds through direct exchange and resonates long after. Admission is free – a good reason to experience this special theater evening live at the Fürth City Theater.
