Christmas Stage Magic with Heißmann & Rassau
When the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt becomes a guaranteed ice-free zone on the stage of the Comödie Fürth, a pre-Christmas stage experience full of wit, music, and Franconian lifestyle begins. Volker Heißmann and Martin Rassau invite you to their Christmas program Grinskistlasmargd on December 4, 2026 – a cabaret-style staging where festive spirit and sharp humor meet with great energy.
A Christkindlesmarkt with Surprising Twists
The dramaturgy shifts the world-famous Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt directly to the stage. A glorified Christkind encounters a crafty mulled wine seller who uses sly charm to pull a fast one on his customers. Amidst the festive stalls, Christmas sounds, and Franconian comedy, a theatrical atmosphere emerges that immerses the audience in a turbulent market scene.
Waltraud, Mariechen, and the Art of Christmas Comedy
For additional stage energy, the Fürth cult widows Waltraud and Mariechen join in. Their pointed observations about the pre-Christmas season blend precise observation with that unmistakable acting talent that has characterized Heißmann and Rassau for years. Anneliese and Georg Kaltengruber also bring the search for lodging by Mary and Joseph into play in an unparalleled manner.
Between Contemplation and Nutcracker Chaos
Musically, the production opens a festive window: when Volker Heißmann sings White Christmas, genuine contemplation seems to settle in for a moment. But a lively nutcracker goes all out to steal the show from him. From this contrast, a comedic evening develops that maintains its tension until the very end with timing, role reversals, and musical moments.
An Evening for Friends of Franconian Stage Art
The performance combines cabaret, small art, music, and Christmas character comedy into a varied stage experience. The set design, lighting atmosphere, and the interplay with familiar Christmas motifs create the framework for a production that playfully disrupts festive expectations. The audience reaction thrives on spontaneous punchlines, familiar characters, and the direct contact between stage and audience area.
Conclusion: Grinskistlasmargd promises a humorous pre-Christmas evening with Volker Heißmann, Martin Rassau, and a cast of quirky characters. Those seeking Franconian comedy, musical interludes, and a lively Christmas production will experience an evening full of surprises at the Comödie Fürth. Secure your tickets now and experience the Christkindlesmarkt completely frost-free, but with even more stage humor.
