Rainforest protection begins here: Knowledge becomes everyday action
Rainforests are among the most species-rich habitats on Earth and act as indispensable climate protectors. At the same time, deforestation, agriculture, and climate change severely threaten them. The workshop at vhs Fürth shows how closely personal consumption decisions are linked to the protection of these unique ecosystems.
Creating great impact with small decisions
The focus is on the question of what sustainable alternatives look like in everyday life and what impact conscious consumption can have. Participants explore the connections between diet, raw materials, global supply chains, and rainforest protection. It is not about abstract theory, but about concrete perspectives for responsible decision-making.
Between biodiversity, climate, and resources
Rainforests provide important raw materials for medicine, nutrition, and various daily products. The workshop contextualizes this importance and highlights why the preservation of forests remains a shared societal task. Political measures, innovative projects, and technological solutions will also be discussed.
Solid knowledge for sustainable development
Speaker Sarah Brockhaus is a certified education consultant for education for sustainable development. She is involved in the rainforest store and brings knowledge about the Amazon and sustainable usage forms into the event. The vhs Fürth conducts the workshop in cooperation with the World Shop Fürth.
An event experience with practical impulse
The calm atmosphere of vhs Fürth creates space for exchange, reflection, and new ideas. The event management combines understandable knowledge transfer with a clear target audience approach: Everyone who wants to make their everyday life more sustainable and understand the rainforest better will find inspiration for their own practice here.
Conclusion
The workshop makes it clear that rainforest protection does not begin far away but at decisions in one's own everyday life. Look forward to two informative hours with professional impulses, global connections, and concrete ideas for more sustainability. Entry is free.
