When many colorful lanterns parade through the downtown area of Fürth, the Lantern Parade of the Fürth Parents' Association e.V. becomes a special family experience. Children and adults spend time together, enjoy a festive atmosphere, and hear children's laughter as part of the Fürth Christmas Market.
With Lanterns Through Downtown Fürth
The meeting point is on Friday, November 27, 2026, at 5:15 PM at Löwenplatz in Fürth. The lantern parade begins at 5:30 PM. The route will take you along Lilienstraße, Wasserstraße, Ludwig-Erhard-Straße, Kohlenmarkt, Schwabacher Straße, and Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße to the stage at the Fürth Christmas Market.
Music, Community, and a Special Conclusion
Families can expect a festive conclusion at the Christmas Market. The Christkönig Children's Choir welcomes participants at the stage. The Fürth Christkind has a surprise in store for all children, making the evening a festive learning experience centered around tradition, community, and consideration.

The lantern parade is a child-friendly outing for families with children. Walking together strengthens orientation, independence, and a sense of community. For safety, parents should keep a close eye on their children throughout the route, especially at street crossings and in pedestrian zones.

Registration is done via email to fuertherelternverband@web.de. The lantern parade is organized by the Fürth Parents' Association e.V. with support from the Market Office and the advertising team of the Fürth Christmas Market.
An evening full of lights, music, and Christmas spirit awaits visitors. Families will experience Fürth together, discover the downtown from a new perspective, and accompany the children to a magical conclusion with the Christkind.
