When trumpet meets pop voice: Rüdiger Baldauf's Trumpet Night in Fürth
On Sunday, February 28, 2027, the Stadttheater Fürth will transform into a stage for rich sound colors, virtuosic brass artistry, and powerful pop moments. Rüdiger Baldauf presents his Trumpet Night with Yvonne Catterfeld as a special guest – a concert evening that combines jazz, funk, soul, and pop into an energy-filled live experience.
A trumpet evening of international format
Rüdiger Baldauf is one of the most sought-after trumpet players in Europe. He became known as a member of the TV-TOTAL band Heavytones and through collaborations with artists like Shakira, Seal, and James Brown. His stage performance combines technical precision with emotional expression: The trumpet is not only the centerpiece, it navigates through changing sound worlds between rich funk, grooving soul, jazzy improvisation, and modern pop arrangements.
Yvonne Catterfeld as the special voice of the evening
With Yvonne Catterfeld, the Trumpet Night gains a distinctive German pop voice. In interplay with Baldauf's expressive trumpet playing, a concert experience emerges that blends vocal warmth and brilliant brass lines. The musical tension arises from the synchronization of voice, band, and trumpet – sometimes finely nuanced, sometimes powerful and rhythmically direct.
Live atmosphere between jazz, funk, soul, and pop
The concert format thrives on a high-profile band and diverse arrangements. Baldauf brings the trumpet as a versatile instrument to the forefront and shows how flexibly it can act between melodic leadership, percussive accents, and virtuosic improvisation. A precise orchestration, dynamic conducting, and the warm sound of the Stadttheater lay the foundation for an evening with musical depth and great audience atmosphere.
Sunday evening in the Great Hall of the Stadttheater
The concert evening begins on February 28, 2027, at 7:30 PM in the Great Hall of the Stadttheater Fürth at Königstraße 116. The concert takes place in the indoor area and offers the best conditions for concentrated listening pleasure, clear acoustics, and immediate proximity to the stage performance.
Conclusion: Attendees can expect a versatile concert evening with Rüdiger Baldauf's virtuosic trumpet, a strong live band, and Yvonne Catterfeld as a special guest.
