Nick & June bring the shimmering indie sound of New Year’s Face to Fürth
On Thursday, February 11, 2027, the Kofferfabrik Fürth will transform into a space for melancholic sound colors, fragile intimacy, and hypnotic live atmosphere. Nick & June will present their current album New Year’s Face and combine indie folk, dream pop, and alternative rock into a multifaceted concert experience.
Between reverb, synthesizers, and glowing melancholy
Reverb-drenched guitars, vibrating synthesizers, and gently pulsating drums form the sonic foundation of the Berlin duo. The voices of Nick Wolf and Suzie-Lou Kraft merge into a hypnotic melange, where euphoric restraint and spun thoughts intertwine.
New Year’s Face: a new chapter
The album New Year’s Face marks a new artistic phase for Nick & June. The ten songs were created in collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Peter Katis, who has worked with The National, Interpol, and Sharon Van Etten, among others. Guest artists include members and companions from the international indie scene, such as The Antlers, Russian Red, Owen Pallett, Thomas Bartlett, as well as Kyle Resnick and Ben Lanz from The National.
Indie-folk meets dream pop and alternative rock
Musically, the duo moves between melancholic indie folk, atmospheric dream pop, and far-reaching alternative rock. Echoes of Bon Iver, Velvet Underground, Big Thief, Beach House, Lana Del Rey, The National, and Mazzy Star resonate with unique arrangements and an intimate stage performance. The songs resemble acoustic Polaroids: vulnerable, floating, and at the same time, of great emotional range.
An intense club concert at Kofferfabrik
The Kofferfabrik provides the perfect setting for this sound. Between direct audience proximity and atmospheric stage lighting, the music unfolds with special depth. Soft passages, echoing guitars, and precise synchronization of voice, synthesizer, and rhythm create a dense live atmosphere that makes every detail audible.
