African-Latin American energy meets contemporary jazz

On Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Ania Paz Trio will bring Inspiring Energy Live to the Kulturforum Fürth, an evening full of rhythmic tension, improvised moments, and international sound colors. The start is at 7:00 PM in the Small Hall.

A soundscape between jazz, world music, and improvisation

Ania Paz stands for a modern, driving sound that combines jazz harmony and improvisation with experimental African-Latin American rhythms and contemporary music. Her compositions feel fresh, intellectual, and emotional at the same time. At the center is a musical dialogue that opens fixed structures and creates space for spontaneous turns.

A trio with a pulsating rhythm section

At the piano and in the musical direction, Ania Paz shapes the evening with a personal stage performance. Christoph Hillmann on drums and Carmelo Leotta on bass form a dynamic rhythm section. Their synchronization allows the sound to breathe between precise grooves, expressive solos, and free improvisation.

International perspectives, immediately on stage

Ania Paz was born in Lima, studied classical music and jazz in Germany and the United States, and now lives in Berlin. As the founder of the Ania Paz Trio and as a composer, producer, and educator, she connects musical traditions from various cultural spaces. Her album Espacios expands this artistic language with the colors of the Berlin jazz scene.

The musician has released nine CDs and one DVD of her own music, completed international tours, and carried out intercultural projects for the United Nations, the European Union, and cultural institutions in the Dominican Republic. Her work ranges from concert productions to jazz education and the exploration of Afro-American rhythms.

Live atmosphere in the Small Hall

The Kulturforum Fürth creates the perfect setting for a concentrated concert experience: clear acoustics, immediate audience closeness, and a space where every rhythmic shift remains palpable. Between bass impulses, percussive movement, and bright piano lines, a live atmosphere emerges that relies not on routine but on musical discovery.

Conclusion: Contemporary Latin jazz with a personal touch

The Ania Paz Trio promises a concert for all who wish to experience jazz as an open, international, and vibrant sound space. Those who want to experience African-Latin American energy, sophisticated orchestration, and expressive improvisation up close should not miss this evening at the Kulturforum Fürth.
